DevTooling Engineer (AI) — Developer Tooling & AI

Parity is hiring a full-time DevTooling Engineer (AI) within its Acceleration department to improve developer experience across the Polkadot ecosystem. The role sits on the Builder Experiences team and focuses on developer tooling, AI-assisted workflows, CI/CD improvements, documentation, and Web3 application prototyping.
This remote position involves working with Javascript, Typescript, Rust, and Solidity while collaborating with engineering teams and developers building decentralized applications on Polkadot. The team is exploring how AI can accelerate developer processes and enhance tooling for internal and external builders.
Candidates will contribute to blockchain infrastructure roles tied to developer enablement, hands-on prototyping, and ecosystem support while helping build scalable developer workflows for a distributed engineering environment.

🔹 Responsibilities
• Continuously improve developer tooling used internally and externally
• Build Web3 application prototypes, identify friction points, and iterate on solutions
• Connect with developers through hackathons, conferences, forums, and support channels
• Aggregate developer feedback and advocate for improvements
• Build Web3 applications and prototypes demonstrating practical use of decentralized technologies
• Create, review, and maintain developer documentation, tutorials, videos, and learning resources
• Contribute to emerging DevEx initiatives and help shape new developer-focused projects
• Explore how AI capabilities, tools, and workflows can improve developer processes

🔹 Requirements
• Experience rapidly iterating from idea to working prototype and incorporating feedback into development cycles
• Experience writing developer documentation, tutorials, and technical educational resources
• Experience running developer workshops, booths, or conference-related developer engagement activities
• Strong understanding of how AI can accelerate developer workflows and tooling
• Experience building tools that improve AI assistant capabilities for developer products
• Interest in Web3 principles and decentralized application development
• Familiarity with Personhood and Unstoppability concepts within the Polkadot ecosystem
• Experience with Javascript, Typescript, Rust, and Solidity
