Role Summary

As the Lead Blockchain Engineer, you will set the technical vision and lead the development of Ohr’s core smart contract systems and on-chain protocol mechanics. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end engineering lifecycle—from architectural design and economic modeling to formal verification, testing, and multi-chain production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Protocol Architecture: Architect and implement high-efficiency, ultra-secure smart contract systems using Solidity and/or Rust.
Security & Verification: Spearhead protocol security practices, formal verification pipelines, and external audit readiness to ensure zero-defect deployments.
On-Chain Optimization: Profile gas consumption, optimize contract storage layout, and eliminate systemic execution risks across volatile network conditions.
Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor the blockchain engineering group, champion rigorous engineering standards, and drive key architectural decisions across cross-chain integrations.
Ecosystem Research: Track emerging primitives (MEV protection, account abstraction, modular rollups, cross-chain messaging) and translate cutting-edge research into production protocol upgrades.

Requirements & Qualifications

Must-Haves

Senior Engineering Leadership: 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years leading architecture and deployment of production smart contracts.
Smart Contract Fluency: Deep expertise in Solidity and modern development toolchains (Foundry, Hardhat), with an understanding of EVM assembly (Yul) and EVM opcodes.
Security Record: Demonstrated history of shipping audited, live smart contracts securing significant value without critical vulnerabilities.
Distributed Protocols: Solid comprehension of DeFi mechanisms, automated market makers (AMMs), lending protocols, oracle mechanics, and cross-chain bridges.
Autonomy: High-agency engineer capable of translating abstract protocol goals into hardened, self-executing code.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with Rust and alternative execution environments (Solana, Move, or Cosmos SDK).
Familiarity with cryptographic primitives (zero-knowledge proofs, multi-party computation).
