Software Engineer, DeFi Application

This role focuses on building and maintaining a next-generation decentralized application that enables direct deposit and withdrawal into on-chain vaults. As part of a newly formed product pod, you will lead full-stack engineering work that directly supports a core revenue-producing product.

The position involves architecting backend systems, collaborating with front-end engineers, and delivering a reliable, user-focused interface for DeFi participants. You will work closely with product and research teams to turn requirements into functional features and ensure the application meets performance and reliability expectations. The role is fully remote within the US, Canada, and potentially Puerto Rico, with compensation between $150K–$200K.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of full-stack features for the primary dApp, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to create integrated, seamless user experiences.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to engineers within the team.
• Contribute to architecture and systems design for backend services.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to uphold engineering standards.
• Work with product managers and researchers to interpret requirements and deliver usable features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues to maintain application reliability.

🔹 Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience with a strong full-stack background.
• Strong command of TypeScript for full-stack work.
• Experience with backend systems, APIs, architecture, and systems design.
• Ability to build user-centric applications with focus on usability and smooth interaction.
• Familiarity with Python or willingness to work across languages.
• Proven collaboration skills and experience mentoring engineers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities across the application lifecycle.
• Interest or experience in DeFi, dApps, or on-chain systems (bonus).
• Experience with Solidity or Rust is advantageous.
• Exposure to fintech products handling transactions or sensitive data is helpful.
• Experience shipping UI features using frameworks like React is preferred.
• Background in smaller teams or startups demonstrating technical versatility is valued.
• Experience with data tooling, ETL pipelines, orchestration, or production data flows is beneficial.

• Base salary: $150K–$200K, with on-target cash bonuses (OTE).
