Systems Engineer — Renewable Energy Systems

Enpal is building decentralized renewable energy infrastructure across photovoltaic systems, battery storage, smart meters, wall boxes, heat pumps, and AI-powered energy optimization platforms. This Systems Engineer – Renewable Energy Systems role focuses on system-level ownership of AC-side energy infrastructure, including technical design, validation, testing, commissioning, and operational performance across scalable energy systems.
The position works closely with engineering, suppliers, product, procurement, and operations teams to deliver reliable and field-ready renewable energy solutions. Candidates with experience in power electronics, inverter technology, storage systems, and hardware validation will work within a hybrid engineering environment contributing to modern energy infrastructure and operational scalability similar to large-scale blockchain infrastructure roles and distributed systems engineering environments.

🔹 Responsibilities
Engineering teams working across blockchain infrastructure roles and industrial energy systems frequently prioritize reliability, validation, and operational scalability.
• Own the technical concept and design of AC-side renewable energy systems.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, Quality, and Procurement to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead validation processes, testing strategies, and performance verification across laboratory and field environments.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis for hardware systems.
• Support prototyping, commissioning, and integration of new components into existing energy systems.
• Contribute to system-level decisions involving reliability, scalability, operational performance, and cost optimization.
🔹 Requirements
Experience in remote web3 jobs and distributed engineering environments often overlaps with the systems engineering mindset required for scalable infrastructure operations.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
• Experience with AC systems, inverter technology, storage systems, or power electronics.
• Hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, or laboratory-based hardware environments.
• Strong analytical and system-level engineering problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers and participating in technical validation processes.
• Understanding of EU and German electrical standards.
• Strong English communication skills.
• German language skills are considered a plus.
