Senior Legal Counsel — Legal & Regulatory

GRVT is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to support legal, regulatory, and commercial operations across a distributed, remote setup in key APAC jurisdictions including Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Singapore. This full-time role sits within the Legal team and works closely with senior management, compliance, and product functions in a fast-moving fintech and digital assets environment. 

The position focuses on contract drafting, regulatory analysis, and cross-border legal coordination, with ownership across corporate structuring, licensing, and strategic initiatives. This role is aligned with broader blockchain infrastructure roles, requiring a balance of independent execution and business-oriented legal judgment in evolving regulatory landscapes.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Legal and Compliance in providing day-to-day legal support to senior management and internal teams
• Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders
• Review, draft, and manage commercial agreements such as NDAs, MOUs, service, partnership, and vendor contracts under supervision
• Conduct legal research on corporate, fintech, and technology-related regulations across relevant jurisdictions, and continuously monitor updates
• Support corporate secretarial tasks, including board documentation, policy updates, and record-keeping
• Assist in legal advisory areas such as employment, IP, data protection, and contract interpretation
• Support strategic initiatives, capital raising, and M&A transactions
• Liaise with external counsel, auditors, and regulatory bodies on complex or high-stakes matters
• Handle investor-related issues, communications, and cap table management
• Support licensing, registration, and regulatory engagement processes
• Assist in corporate structuring and international expansion initiatives

🔹 Requirements

• Law degree (LL.B. / J.D.) from a recognized institution
• 4–7 years of post-qualification experience, including work in digital assets and/or fintech sectors
• Strong research skills and analytical thinking
• Proven negotiation, drafting, and legal capabilities
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with compliance, operations, and product teams
• Strong ethical judgment, analytical acumen, and business-minded approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Familiarity with crypto and digital asset regulatory landscapes
