Role Summary
As a Senior Data Scientist on the Consumer team, you will partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to shape the future of Coinbase’s flagship consumer offerings—including spot and advanced trading, yield products, Coinbase One, international expansion, and new initiatives like prediction markets. You will own end-to-end analytical frameworks, lead rigorous experimentation and causal inference, and translate complex data into actionable product strategies that move the company’s bottom line.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Diagnostics: Lead deep-dive analyses on ambiguous product and business problems, delivering data-driven recommendations that shape core product roadmaps.
Metrics & Measurement Frameworks: Define primary product health metrics, design rigorous causal inference frameworks, and ensure experimentation confidence across the product lifecycle.
Data Stack & Pipeline Ownership: Maintain and optimize reliable ETL pipelines, author production-grade SQL and Python, and lead code reviews across the data team.
Cross-Functional Influence: Translate complex statistical models and behavioral findings into compelling narratives for product leaders and executive stakeholders.
AI-Enhanced Workflows: Responsibly leverage generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Glean, LibreChat) with human-in-the-loop validation to maximize research velocity and analytical rigor.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must-Haves
Analytical & Modeling Depth: Proven track record applying advanced modeling frameworks, A/B experimentation, and causal inference to real-world product questions.
Technical Mastery: Professional, production-level proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
Product Sense: Extensive experience embedded in cross-functional digital product teams within iterative development cycles.
Communication & Storytelling: Strong ability to synthesize complex statistical conclusions into clear, concise executive narratives.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $181,545 – $191,100 SGD / year

Work Setup: Remote-first in Singapore with quarterly in-person team working sessions ("surges").
