Investment Manager — Structured Credit / Risk

Xapo Bank is a globally distributed financial institution focused on wealth protection and Bitcoin-based financial services, operating with a remote-first team across 30+ countries. The investment function is responsible for managing BTC-backed lending and structured credit opportunities in a risk-controlled environment.
The Investment Manager works directly with the Head of Investments to source, evaluate, and structure lending opportunities while maintaining portfolio-level risk visibility. The role combines credit analysis, structured lending design, and counterparty management, with exposure to global financial markets and digital asset ecosystems. This position aligns with blockchain infrastructure roles, where structured finance intersects with crypto-native lending and risk frameworks in a fully remote setup.
🔹 Responsibilities
• Conduct counterparty due diligence including financial analysis, risk evaluation, and approval memos
• Assist in structuring secured and over-collateralized lending frameworks, including covenants and margin systems
• Monitor portfolio exposures, collateral levels, and early-warning indicators
• Perform modeling for structured solutions and scenario-based analysis
• Engage with counterparties, coordinate data rooms, and follow up on deliverables
• Contribute to investment documentation including term sheets, IC decks, and performance reports
• Review and interpret legal documentation related to lending structures and risk protections
• Propose new structures, pricing strategies, and opportunity optimization approaches
• Maintain diligence files, checklists, and reporting dashboards in an audit-ready state
🔹 Requirements
• 5–7 years of experience in investment banking, structured lending, credit, treasury, risk, or buy-side roles
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong experience in counterparty due diligence including financials, liquidity, leverage, and collateral analysis
• Familiarity with structured lending frameworks including covenants, margining, and collateral structures
• Knowledge of ISDA/CSA, GMRA/GMSLA, or loan agreements
• Experience using risk tools such as stress testing, scenario analysis, and limit frameworks
• Experience with financial modeling using modern tools
• Strong documentation and communication skills for IC memos and counterparty interactions
• Ability to manage diligence workflows, data rooms, and audit-ready processes
• Comfortable participating in and leading parts of external counterparty discussions
• Professional certifications such as CFA or FRM (or in progress)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments
Nice-to-have:
• Experience in structured credit, securitization, repo, or margin lending frameworks
• Exposure to traditional financial services collateral and margin systems
• Familiarity with Bitcoin or crypto markets
• Technical skills such as coding or data modeling tools
