• For testers aiming to become QA leads in blockchain teams, what skills actually drive that transition?

I’ve seen strong testers stay stuck as individual contributors for years because they never learn to “own” quality beyond just writing tests. In blockchain teams, QA leads need to balance security awareness, communication, and release coordination — not just test cases.

If you’ve made that shift from tester to QA lead, how did you take that step? Which skills or behaviors mattered most in blockchain environments? I’m trying to understand how testers can grow into leadership roles without losing their technical depth.

Even as junior, I volunteered to own the bug triage meeting. Scary at first, but I learned to speak with confidence and build trust. Leads are just people who decided to speak first.

Write internal case studies after every release. It builds a knowledge library and positions you as guardian of learning. People start asking you for decisions without a title.
