Web3 BD Cheat Sheet: Verify Partners & Read Token Pay

Traditional B2B SaaS sales tactics fail in Web3 because you cannot sell an open-source protocol like a software license.

The Web3 BD Cheat Sheet by Shubhada Pande (Founder, ArtOfBlockchain.club) translates Web2 sales metrics into on-chain realities—giving you a no-code partner verification workflow, 2026 crypto BD salary benchmarks, and job-hunt red flags.

What You’ll Unlock in the 4-Page Playbook:

The "Unlearn Web2" Translation Matrix: How to shift your KPIs from MAU, ARR, and CAC to Unique Active Wallets (UAW) spending gas, Total Value Locked (TVL), and token emission retention—plus how buyer personas shift from VPs of Engineering to DAO delegates and SubDAOs.

The "Anti-Vanity" Deal Checklist: The 4 exact on-chain checks to run before signing a co-marketing or grant partnership to expose Sybil wallet farming, mercenary TVL, insider holder concentration, and weak open-source moats.

5-Step No-Code Partner Verification: A step-by-step workflow to audit any protocol's claims using Dune (dune.com), DefiLlama (defillama.com), and Etherscan (etherscan.io)—including a diagnostic cheat sheet on what to do when pitch deck numbers don't match public on-chain data.

2026 Crypto BD Salary & Token Benchmarks: While the median advertised Web3 BD base salary sits at $165,000 USD (FindWeb3, October 2026), base pay is only half the story. Download the guide for the full 25th-to-75th percentile pay breakdown, the visual 4-year token vesting schedule (1-year cliff), and

5 questions you must ask about TGE dates and token pools before signing an offer.

Scam vs. Weak Offer Red Flags: A side-by-side checklist to help you separate malicious drainer traps (fake .exe interview files, X login phishing) from weak BD offers (token-only pay, unbudgeted partner targets).
