Smart Contract Auditor — Solidity / Security

Nethermind operates across Ethereum and StarkNet ecosystems, contributing to blockchain infrastructure, protocol development, and security research. The team works closely with protocols to improve smart contract safety, audit systems, and advance security tooling in decentralized environments.

This role sits within security engineering, focusing on auditing Solidity-based systems and supporting StarkNet (Cairo) environments. The position works directly with protocol teams to identify vulnerabilities, improve contract design, and contribute to internal security tooling. The role combines applied security analysis, protocol-level understanding, and collaboration across engineering teams working on Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) systems.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Work directly with protocols in Ethereum and StarkNet ecosystems to review smart contract code and improve security
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain and enhance blockchain security tools
• Develop new tools for smart contract security analysis
• Engage with clients to discuss vulnerabilities, risks, and best practice improvements

🔹 Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in Solidity security analysis
• Strong understanding of Ethereum Virtual Machine and Ethereum Yellow Paper
• Proficiency in Solidity development and smart contract deployment
• Deep understanding of common smart contract vulnerabilities
• Experience with tools and frameworks used for smart contract development and auditing
• Strong debugging skills and/or reverse engineering experience
• Basic knowledge of Cairo and StarkNet

Nice to Have

• Background in traditional cybersecurity before transitioning to blockchain
• Experience with Cairo development
• Understanding of StarkNet ecosystem
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with common DeFi applications
• Public audit reports or security research content
• Portfolio of blog posts or presentations on DeFi or smart contract security
