Job description

Xsolla is seeking a Senior QA Engineer with strong Web3 experience to join its engineering team. In this role, you will take end-to-end quality ownership across Web3-enabled gaming commerce features—anticipating risks, validating distributed systems, and ensuring seamless user experiences. You will combine thorough manual and API-level validation with cutting-edge AI-assisted testing tools to accelerate test coverage, verify smart contract integrations, and debug complex wallet and blockchain workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Web3 & Wallet Testing: Lead manual and exploratory testing of Web3 features, wallet connection flows (MetaMask, WalletConnect, custom wallets), and decentralized authentication/identity layers.

  • Smart Contract & On-Chain Validation: Test smart contract interactions, on-chain/off-chain data synchronization, transaction signing, gas limits, and node RPC event handling.

  • API & System Verification: Conduct deep API-level testing using Postman or similar tools to validate data payloads, error handling, and high-throughput backend services.

  • AI-Assisted QA Workflows: Evaluate and integrate AI-powered testing tools (automated test generation, intelligent log analysis, visual regression, and defect prioritization).

  • CI/CD & Environments: Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure test coverage across staging pipelines, CI/CD jobs, and smart contract upgrade deployments.

  • Defect Triage & Observability: Monitor production logs, blockchain explorers, and analytics dashboards to isolate anomalies, filing precise and reproducible bug reports in Jira.

  • Quality Advocacy & Mentorship: Champion best testing practices for hybrid and decentralized architectures while mentoring junior QA engineers across sprint cycles.

Requirements & Qualifications

Must-Haves

  • Total QA Experience: 7+ years of total QA experience with proven ownership of end-to-end software quality.

  • Web3 Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on Web3 testing covering blockchain integrations, wallet flows, RPC endpoints, and decentralized transactions.

  • Core QA Fundamentals: Deep command of manual testing methodologies, edge-case analysis, and the complete defect lifecycle.

  • API Testing: Demonstrated experience validating RESTful APIs and backend services using Postman or comparable tools.

  • Tools & Environment: Proficient with Jira, Git, browser developer tools, and terminal/command-line workflows.

  • AI Tooling Awareness: Familiarity with AI-driven testing tools for test generation, smart prioritization, or log analysis.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Understanding of smart contract mechanics, Solidity fundamentals, or blockchain debugging tools (Hardhat, Foundry, Tenderly).

  • Experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).

  • Familiarity with backend technologies (PHP or related languages), Linux environments, and Bash scripting.
