Job description

WalletConnect Pay is building infrastructure for crypto and stablecoin payments that simplifies merchant adoption across wallets, chains, and digital assets. The platform enables businesses to accept on-chain payments through a unified integration layer powered by WalletConnect’s global wallet network. This role sits within the Merchant Experience team and focuses on merchant onboarding, settlement workflows, checkout infrastructure, APIs, and payment operations.

The position combines payments product management with blockchain infrastructure roles and developer platform ownership. The Product Manager will work closely with engineering, design, compliance, business development, and merchant partners to improve onboarding, integration speed, settlement reliability, and checkout conversion. The role is heavily focused on merchant-facing tooling, developer experience, API products, and operational scalability for stablecoin and crypto payment systems.

Building a web3 engineering team around onchain payments requires product leaders who understand merchant operations, APIs, and payment infrastructure at scale.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Own the merchant dashboard experience end-to-end for WalletConnect Pay services

• Design onboarding experiences that move merchants from manual onboarding to self-serve activation flows

• Build merchant-facing payment visibility and settlement tracking tools

• Define PSP partner integration and merchant provisioning workflows

• Improve developer onboarding, testing, integration, and go-live tooling for merchants

• Define scalable enterprise integration patterns for POS partners, aggregators, and merchants

• Own and measure the merchant lifecycle funnel from signup through ongoing usage

• Work directly with Business Development and Partnerships teams during customer onboarding and integrations

• Define and maintain integration playbooks to reduce time-to-live for merchants

• Coordinate Engineering, Design, Compliance, Marketing, and Partnerships teams for merchant-facing launches

• Translate partner feedback into product improvements and developer documentation

• Work with Engineering leadership to define quarterly priorities and delivery roadmaps

Scaling a web3 team for merchant payments infrastructure requires strong coordination across product, compliance, developer tooling, and payment operations.

🔹 Requirements

• 7+ years of product or engineering management experience building merchant-facing, B2B, or platform products

• Experience shipping APIs, operational dashboards, and onboarding systems used by external developers and merchants

• Background in payments, fintech, or e-commerce infrastructure

• Understanding of settlement workflows, reconciliation, KYB/KYC compliance, payouts, and merchant payment operations

• Experience designing or managing developer-facing APIs, webhook systems, sandbox environments, or API versioning

• Web3 experience is optional but considered a plus

• Familiarity with AI tools, LLMs, code assistants, or agents for workflows such as research, spec writing, analysis, or prototyping

• Strong merchant operations understanding including settlements, auditing, and integration troubleshooting

• Ability to write detailed technical specifications and engage in architecture discussions

• Ability to simplify complex payment systems and merchant configuration flows into clear product experiences
