Job Description

As a Senior Blockchain Protocol Engineer, you’ll design and build core blockchain systems in Go, contributing to the evolution of Bitcoin-based architectures, scaling research, and peer-to-peer networking. This role is ideal for developers who thrive on performance optimization, security modeling, and open-source collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

1️⃣ Core Development

Implement and refine core blockchain protocol modules in Golang.
Work on consensus, P2P communication, and node-level optimizations.
Design and maintain L1–L2 integrations with an emphasis on low latency and scalability.

2️⃣ Architecture & Performance

Define and document distributed system designs for scalability and fault tolerance.
Conduct performance benchmarking, threat modeling, and formal security reviews.
Drive architectural improvements aligned with blockchain scalability goals.

3️⃣ Testing & Documentation

Develop test frameworks to validate protocol performance and integrity.
Review code for reliability, resource efficiency, and cryptographic soundness.
Contribute to public protocol specs and improvement proposals.

4️⃣ Collaboration & Mentorship

Guide junior engineers in blockchain fundamentals and Go best practices.
Participate in global blockchain R&D communities and open-source discussions.

Requirements

5+ years in software development with strong systems-level programming experience.
Advanced Golang skills, especially in concurrency and low-level optimization.
Deep understanding of Bitcoin UTXO models or Lightning Network architecture.
Strong knowledge of cryptographic primitives, RPC frameworks, and P2P systems.
Experience working with blockchain node infrastructures.
English proficiency (Upper-Intermediate or higher).

Exposure to formal verification or protocol research.
Academic or practical background in cryptography or distributed consensus.
