Senior Backend & Smart Contract Engineer (Rust/Solana)

Breeze is developing infrastructure that enables users to earn yield on digital assets through a non-custodial platform directly embedded into existing applications. This role centers on designing Rust-based Solana programs and maintaining backend components such as indexers, risk engines, and analytics systems.

The engineer will work closely with product and fullstack teams to integrate backend logic with APIs and SDKs while iterating quickly on new ideas. The position requires comfort working at the protocol level, building from 0→1, and contributing to the technical foundation that powers the platform’s yield and routing mechanisms.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Solana smart contracts in Rust for managing funds, shares, and routing logic.
• Extend backend systems including indexers, accounting tools, risk engines, and analytics pipelines.
• Integrate backend components with APIs and SDKs to provide clean interfaces for partners and frontend teams.
• Rapidly validate product experiments and iterate based on user or partner feedback.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver a polished developer and user experience.

🔹 Requirements

• Senior-level engineer with 5+ years of experience and strong technical depth.
• Extensive hands-on experience writing and deploying Rust/Solana smart contracts.
• Ability to lead backend and protocol-level projects with medium to large scope.
• Strong understanding of DeFi concepts such as staking, lending, and AMMs.
• Experience contributing to crypto product development in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to work across engineering domains and consider full product workflows.
