Senior Android Engineer (Senior) — Kotlin

MLabs is recruiting on behalf of a confidential venture-backed financial technology company building next-generation infrastructure for the international FinTech sector. This full-time remote position joins the core mobile engineering team and focuses on delivering production-grade Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
The role works closely with product and design teams to transform Figma designs into high-performance mobile experiences while contributing to architecture decisions, testing practices, and application optimization. Candidates will also participate in technical exploration of Web3 and crypto wallet functionality within Android environments.
This position is suited to engineers who thrive in remote software teams, value clean architecture, prioritize application performance, and contribute to blockchain infrastructure roles where execution quality and ownership are central to product delivery.
🔹 Responsibilities
• Architect, build, test, and deploy the company’s native Android application using Kotlin and modern continuous delivery practices.
• Convert responsive Figma designs into production-ready user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI frameworks.
• Research, prototype, and implement Web3 systems and crypto wallet functionality within Android applications.
• Maintain a clean, testable, and scalable codebase while utilizing automated unit and UI testing frameworks.
• Improve telemetry collection, analytics implementation, localization support, memory usage, and application performance.
• Participate actively in an agile development environment focused on collaborative ownership and problem-solving.
🔹 Requirements
• Demonstrated experience delivering commercial native Android applications to production environments.
• Five or more years of experience developing high-performance Android applications is highly advantageous.
• Advanced proficiency with Kotlin.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI libraries.
• Strong understanding of Android architectural patterns including MVVM and MVI.
• Experience designing scalable, modular, and maintainable software architectures.
• Familiarity with unit testing and automated UI testing methodologies.
• Ability to use Figma to review assets and implement detailed design specifications.
• Strong understanding of animations, micro-interactions, spacing, typography, and visual consistency.
• Experience optimizing payload size, memory consumption, lifecycle management, and application performance monitoring.
• Builder mindset with strong ownership, adaptability, and commitment to team success.
🔹 Compensation & Benefits
• Compensation: €90,000 – €110,000.
