Figment is seeking a Protocol Specialist to support its staking division by monitoring supported networks, producing research, and ensuring internal teams have accurate protocol information. This role involves developing foundational knowledge across all protocols while gaining deeper expertise in selected networks.

You will track governance updates, upgrades, and ecosystem developments to keep customers and internal stakeholders informed. The position also includes contributing educational content, supporting sales and customer success with protocol insights, and identifying strategic opportunities through ongoing research. This is a full-time remote role with preference for candidates located in the Western Hemisphere due to client-facing responsibilities.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Build broad protocol understanding and develop deep expertise in select networks.
• Track protocol changes, upgrades, governance proposals, and key events to inform internal teams and customers.
• Lead or participate in internal and external knowledge-sharing sessions related to supported protocols.
• Publish guides, introductions, updates, and analysis for Figment’s content and client needs.
• Identify strategic opportunities through protocol engagement and independent research.
• Support sales and customer success as an escalation point for protocol-related queries.

🔹 Requirements

• CS degree or equivalent domain experience preferred.
• 1–4 years of experience in a research-oriented role (preferred but not required).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
• Comfortable engaging across teams and external platforms; strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated academic excellence, especially in fields such as Math, CS, Economics, or Game Theory.
• High interest in blockchain and cryptocurrency or willingness to learn rapidly.
• Strong organizational skills with focus on documentation.
• Experience creating written content or strong desire to publish.

• Base salary: CAD $80,000–$100,000 or USD $80,000–$100,000, depending on region.
