CoinTracker builds products that help individuals and businesses track cryptocurrency portfolios and manage tax compliance. The Lead Product Designer will own the end-to-end design of multiple CoinTracker product lines, with a focus on improving usability and clarity across crypto tax, bookkeeping, and accounting experiences.

This role works closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate user needs and business goals into well-crafted interfaces. The position includes mentoring designers, shaping design systems, and using research and data to guide decisions. The designer is expected to contribute at both strategic and execution levels while maintaining high standards for design quality and consistency.

🔹 Responsibilities

Lead the full product design lifecycle from early concepts through final implementation
Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements aligned with user and business needs
Create high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes to communicate user flows and design intent
Apply user research, usability testing, and data insights to iterate on designs
Maintain and evolve design systems and guidelines to support consistency and scalability
Mentor junior designers and promote user-centered design practices across the organization
Stay informed on UX/UI trends, emerging technologies, and developments in the crypto space

🔹 Requirements

8+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating design quality and impact
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
High standards for craft, with strong conceptual and design thinking skills
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Experience working effectively in early-stage or high-ambiguity environments
Alignment with values focused on user focus, trust, and long-term thinking

Base salary range of $175,000–$200,000 USD
