Junior KYC Analyst — Compliance Operations

Plasma is building a stablecoin-focused financial network that combines blockchain infrastructure with consumer-facing financial products. Its flagship platform, Plasma One, enables users to hold dollars, transfer money globally, earn yield, and spend through a Visa card across more than 150 countries. The company operates across protocol infrastructure, payments, compliance operations, and stablecoin product development.
This role supports KYC onboarding and financial crime operations for Plasma One in a fast-scaling crypto-native environment. The position involves customer verification workflows, risk flagging, blockchain analytics exposure, and regulatory documentation management. Candidates will work closely with Operations, Product, and Engineering teams while building experience in stablecoin compliance, crypto onboarding operations, and blockchain infrastructure roles tied to digital payments and financial services.
Scaling a web3 team handling stablecoin onboarding requires strong operational discipline, compliance awareness, and customer support coordination.
🔹 Responsibilities
• Support end-to-end KYC onboarding workflows including document collection, identity verification, and initial risk flagging
• Operate within SumSub to process verification flows, review automated decisions, and manage manual review queues
• Build understanding of crypto-native risk profiles related to stablecoin wallets, DeFi interactions, and cross-border crypto transactions
• Learn to use blockchain analytics tools such as Elliptic or equivalent platforms to screen wallets and identify risk exposure
• Maintain accurate customer records and support ongoing customer monitoring and periodic reviews
• Flag changes in customer behaviour while ensuring audit-ready documentation aligned with FCA and regulatory expectations
• Handle inbound customer onboarding queries and escalate sensitive or complex cases when required
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to improve onboarding and operational workflows
• Continue learning about UK and EU regulatory developments related to stablecoins and digital assets
Building blockchain infrastructure roles in compliance operations requires accuracy, process ownership, and awareness of crypto transaction risks.
🔹 Requirements
• 1–2 years of experience in KYC, compliance, onboarding, or financial crime operations within fintech, payments, or crypto environments
• Early-career candidates with strong alignment to the role may also be considered
• Genuine interest in crypto and willingness to deepen understanding of blockchain and stablecoin ecosystems
• Strong attention to detail and compliance-focused mindset
• Ability to communicate clearly and document decisions concisely
• Comfortable escalating issues and asking questions when necessary
• Ability to manage onboarding queues efficiently without compromising quality
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving and evolving operational environment
• Willingness to support customer operations as part of the role
• Exposure to SumSub, Elliptic, Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or related tooling is beneficial
• Familiarity with FCA crypto regulations is preferred
• ICA Certificate, CAMS qualification, or similar compliance certification is a plus
• Experience handling customer communications in compliance or operations environments is beneficial
• Interest in stablecoin and DeFi products is preferred
• Prior process improvement or workflow documentation experience is beneficial
