Investment Manager — Structured Lending & Credit Risk

Xapo is hiring an Investment Manager to support its investment team in sourcing, evaluating, structuring, and monitoring Bitcoin-backed lending opportunities. Working directly with the Head of Investments, this role combines structured credit analysis, risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, and counterparty engagement within a globally distributed remote team. The position requires experience across investment banking, structured lending, treasury, risk, or buy-side environments, with strong exposure to collateralized lending frameworks and credit evaluation. This opportunity is suited to professionals experienced in remote financial services operations, structured credit, risk management, collateral frameworks, and investment analysis while contributing to blockchain infrastructure roles associated with digital asset lending markets.

🔹 Responsibilities
• Conduct counterparty due diligence by gathering information, analyzing financial statements, assessing risk controls, and preparing approval recommendations.
• Assist in designing secured and over-collateralized lending structures, covenant frameworks, waterfalls, and margin arrangements.
• Monitor portfolio exposures, collateral levels, risk limits, and early warning indicators while recommending appropriate actions.
• Support structured solution monitoring and financial modeling activities using modern analytical tools.
• Coordinate with counterparties, organize meetings, manage data rooms, and track follow-up actions.
• Contribute to term sheets, investment committee presentations, performance reporting, and loan documentation reviews.
• Review legal provisions relating to collateral, covenants, remedies, and margin mechanisms to ensure alignment with risk objectives.
• Research new investment structures, pricing approaches, and opportunities within approved risk parameters.
• Maintain diligence documentation, dashboards, checklists, and audit-ready records.
Contributing to scaling a web3 team focused on investment and lending operations.
🔹 Requirements
• 5–7 years of experience in investment banking, structured lending, credit, treasury, risk management, or buy-side investing.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Proven experience performing end-to-end counterparty due diligence, including financial analysis, liquidity assessment, leverage review, collateral evaluation, and covenant monitoring.
• Familiarity with term sheets, collateral structures, margin frameworks, and lending agreements.
• Understanding of ISDA/CSA, GMRA/GMSLA, or comparable loan documentation frameworks.
• Experience using stress testing, scenario analysis, sensitivities, and basic VaR or risk limit methodologies.
• Experience using modern tooling and AI-assisted approaches for financial modeling and scenario analysis.
• Strong written communication skills with experience preparing investment committee materials and documentation.
• Ability to manage diligence processes, data rooms, trackers, and documentation with high accuracy.
• Comfortable participating in counterparty meetings and coordinating external stakeholders.
• CFA, FRM, or equivalent professional qualification in progress or completed.
• High ownership mindset with strong attention to detail and execution under deadlines.
• Interest in cryptocurrency markets; prior crypto experience is not required.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong commitment to quality and professional standards.
Nice to Have
• Experience with structured credit, securitization, repo, or margin-based lending.
• Traditional finance experience involving collateral and margin frameworks.
