Job description

GoMining is seeking a Head of Payments to lead and scale its global payments function across strategy, infrastructure, partnerships, optimization, and financial performance. This role oversees international payment flows, payment providers, payment operations, and crypto payment infrastructure while working closely with Product, Finance, Analytics, and Engineering teams. 

The successful candidate will drive payment conversion, approval rates, processing cost efficiency, risk management, and user experience improvements across multiple markets. The position requires deep expertise in PSPs, acquiring, card payments, alternative payment methods, and digital asset payment systems. This leadership opportunity is suited to professionals experienced in managing complex fintech operations and blockchain infrastructure roles with responsibility for both strategic planning and operational execution.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Define and lead the company’s global payment strategy.
• Build and scale payment infrastructure across multiple markets and payment methods.
• Optimize payment conversion, costs, risk controls, and customer experience.
• Own the roadmap for payment products, systems, and enhancements.
• Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with PSPs, acquirers, banks, crypto processors, and alternative payment providers.
• Evaluate and launch new payment methods across different regions.
• Manage provider pricing, commercial agreements, service levels, reserves, settlements, and overall performance.
• Develop redundancy and fallback strategies across payment providers.
• Monitor and improve approval rates, decline rates, chargebacks, payment conversion, and processing costs.
• Analyze payment funnel performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Oversee settlements, reconciliations, refunds, and dispute management processes.
• Manage crypto payment integrations and payment flows.
• Work with both on-chain and off-chain payment systems, digital assets, and crypto processors.
• Ensure efficient interaction between fiat and crypto payment infrastructure.
• Partner with legal and compliance teams on KYC, AML, PCI DSS, fraud prevention, and regulatory requirements.
• Build secure, compliant, and scalable payment processes across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, Analytics, and Engineering teams.
• Lead payment initiatives across departments and coordinate execution.
• Build and manage a payments team as organizational needs evolve.

🔹 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or financial services.
• Strong experience with payment systems, PSPs, acquiring, card payments, and alternative payment methods.
• Experience managing international payment flows across multiple markets.
• Experience negotiating with and managing payment providers and commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of payment metrics, payment economics, and optimization strategies.
• Experience with payment operations, reconciliations, settlements, and dispute management.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• English proficiency at B2/C1 level.
