Full Stack Engineer (Blockchain) — Backend / Infrastructure

Fireblocks builds infrastructure that enables financial institutions, banks, and global brands to securely manage digital assets at scale. The platform combines MPC-based wallet infrastructure with custody and settlement systems used across high-value, high-throughput environments.

This role sits within the Blockchain Backend Infrastructure team, focused on building and maintaining systems that integrate blockchain protocols into production-grade wallet infrastructure. You will work across backend systems, microservices, and blockchain integrations, bridging on-chain capabilities with real-world financial applications. The position operates in a high-scale distributed systems environment, supporting real-time infrastructure used by institutional clients.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Implement backend applications and infrastructure within a microservices architecture using modern development practices
• Analyze and integrate blockchain technologies, gaining deep understanding of protocols and their features
• Collaborate with developers and engineers across teams while independently solving complex technical problems
• Contribute to system reliability through on-call rotations, incident response, and post-incident analysis
• Work on both external blockchain protocol integrations and internal wallet infrastructure systems

Supporting hiring pipelines aligned with web3 smart contract roles and backend protocol engineering.

🔹 Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience using Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• 3+ years of hands-on blockchain development experience
• Experience working with high-scale distributed systems
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API design
• Knowledge of consensus mechanisms, cryptographic primitives, and distributed systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills with a collaborative working style

Preferred

• Experience building blockchain solutions for enterprise or institutional use cases
• Understanding of blockchain and smart contract security best practices
• Experience using AI tools in development workflows
• Familiarity with MPC, multi-signature wallets, or advanced cryptographic systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
