Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer — DevOps/Kubernetes/Blockchain

Tempo is a layer 1 blockchain focused on stablecoins and real-world payments, designed to support high-volume financial transactions with predictable and low-cost infrastructure. This role fits within blockchain infrastructure roles, supporting production systems across a remote US-based engineering setup.

As a Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer, you will own infrastructure systems that enable developer velocity and ensure network reliability. The role focuses on maintaining validator infrastructure, improving devops processes, and scaling systems across cloud and bare metal environments. You will work on Kubernetes-based deployments, observability systems, and production-grade tooling, supporting enterprise onboarding and ensuring the infrastructure can handle real-world financial workloads at scale.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Implement and manage infrastructure enabling engineering teams to ship efficiently
• Identify and remove bottlenecks in devops processes to improve developer velocity
• Maintain chain reliability including validator infrastructure and explorer systems
• Improve core developer experience across infrastructure tooling
• Support enterprise onboarding into blockchain by educating and assisting with validator operations
• Work on performance optimization at the frontier of crypto infrastructure

🔹 Requirements

• Experience maintaining and scaling bare metal servers and cloud environments in production
• Proficiency in Rust, Go, or Python for tooling and scripting
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes in production and IaC tools such as Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability systems like Prometheus and Grafana
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure, particularly Ethereum ecosystem
