Hello, I am learning blockchain. I am trying to get free testnet tokens from the faucets, but almost all of them asks to get a certain balance of eth even for testnet transactions. I use Sepolia faucet. Please let me know if anyone has encountered the same issue and anyone knows how to tackle this. Thanks!

If you’re struggling with faucets asking for an ETH balance or running into limits, you’re not alone—many new developers face these hurdles with Sepolia and other testnets.

Most Sepolia faucets have daily limits (like 0.01–0.5 ETH every 24 hours) and may require social logins, captchas, or even a small mainnet balance as anti-abuse measures. If you’re stuck, try rotating between trusted faucets such as Alchemy, QuickNode, or thirdweb, which often need just your wallet address and a quick verification.

For higher limits, some faucets let you mine or prove your identity (like with Gitcoin Passport or GitHub login). If all else fails, consider testing on local networks (like Hardhat or Anvil) or switching to another testnet like Polygon’s Mumbai, which often has higher faucet limits and fewer restrictions. Always double-check you’re on the correct network before requesting tokens.
