• Do Seniors Judge Too Harshly in Blockchain Code Reviews?

I’ve been doing tutorials and small projects but the Smart Contract world seems to be a HUGE and intimidating too. In every tutorial and post, everyone says security comes first, but others say companies just expect juniors to be fast and ship features. So I don’t know what teams actually care about: deep security understanding or ability to adapt and learn during work? Are beginners fired because their knowledge is weak or because they don't learn fast enough?

Anyone who’s seen both sides (hiring + dev) can share real stories?

In my first Web3 company, seniors left short notes like “Not gas-efficient.” Zero explanation. I felt dumb asking. Later I DM’d a senior: “Why gas matters so much in this context?” That one open conversation unlocked weeks of confusion. So I would advice ask why, not just what.

I’ve seen junior developers do mistakes due to their panic attack under expectations. Often they try to hide confusion and self-destructed. When people see you trying meaning real efforts, they support you. When they see silence, they assume you’re lost. Security is complex; learning mindset is the survival skill.
