I’m halfway through my B.Com degree and really want to carve out a career in blockchain, but not on the coding or tech-heavy side. Don’t get me wrong—I know blockchain is rooted in tech, but I’m way more drawn to roles where I can strategize, manage projects, or work directly with teams and clients.

Maybe something in business development or operations? Honestly, I’m still figuring out how my commerce background fits here. For example, could I bridge finance concepts with blockchain applications without needing to write code?"

Could you suggest roles that align with a commerce background? For instance, I’ve heard about positions like blockchain business analyst, project coordinator, or compliance specialist – do these require prior technical expertise? I’d also appreciate guidance on skills to develop alongside my degree.

Should I focus on understanding blockchain use cases in finance or supply chain, or improve soft skills like stakeholder communication? Additionally, are certifications like Certified Blockchain Business Foundations (CBP) or courses on blockchain fundamentals from Coursera valuable for non-technical profiles?

I’m open to internships too – any tips to make my profile stand out?

If you study B.Com and aim for a non-technical career in blockchain, explore roles like Blockchain Business Analyst, Marketing Specialist, Project Manager, Community Manager, Compliance Officer, or Content Strategist. These roles involve analyzing business operations, driving marketing efforts, managing projects, ensuring legal compliance, and engaging with online communities.

Start learning blockchain basics through free resources. Watch YouTube channels like "Simplilearn Blockchain Basics," "Whiteboard Crypto," and "Blockchain Central." On Coursera, audit courses like "Blockchain Basics" by the University at Buffalo or "Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Technologies" by Princeton University.

Develop skills in financial analysis, market research, communication, and basic blockchain knowledge. Use tools like Excel, Power BI, and CRM software to strengthen your profile.
