TON Foundation is a non-profit organization supporting the growth and adoption of The Open Network (TON) blockchain. The Technical Writer will create, update, and maintain developer documentation that helps builders understand and use TON tools and APIs.

This role partners closely with engineering and product teams to extract accurate technical details and translate them into clear overviews, how-to guides, reference pages, and tutorials tailored to different experience levels.

The writer will also collaborate with the community to gather feedback and improve content quality. The position is fully remote and suitable for candidates with strong documentation experience and familiarity with developer tools and workflows.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain conceptual overviews, how-to guides, API/reference documentation, and tutorials for developers building on TON.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to extract technical details and validate content accuracy.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured documentation suitable for multiple experience levels.
• Incorporate developer feedback from GitHub and community channels to improve clarity and usefulness.
• Create and update supplemental assets such as diagrams, code examples, and short technical videos.
• Contribute to information architecture improvements, navigation, and cross-linking to enhance documentation usability.
• Work with documentation tooling (linting, link checks, CI checks) to ensure consistent quality and up-to-date references.

🔹 Requirements

• Experience writing technical documentation for developer products, tools, or platforms.
• Proficiency with Markdown/MDX, OpenAPI/Swagger, static site generators, and Git/GitHub workflows.
• Ability to quickly understand complex technical systems and communicate them clearly with attention to accuracy and consistency.
• Comfort working collaboratively with engineering and product stakeholders to gather details and finalise documentation.
• Strong editing skills and ability to enforce consistent terminology and readability across documentation.
• Familiarity with API lifecycle concepts like versioning and deprecation is a plus.
