Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

This role focuses on frontend engineering for Phantom’s multi-chain self-custodial crypto wallet. The engineer will be responsible for building and enhancing user-facing features across the Phantom browser extension and website, contributing to UI performance, responsiveness, and quality.

The position includes driving product enhancements that expand blockchain support, improving cross-chain usability, and collaborating directly with users and developers to inform product direction. The engineer will work within a frontend-focused environment utilizing React, TypeScript, and related tooling while helping elevate team capability and frontend engineering standards.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Own development of UI features across Phantom’s frontend platforms
• Contribute to new product initiatives including expansion to additional blockchains
• Engage with end-users and developer ecosystem for feedback and support
• Work with engineering peers to maintain a high-performance product experience
• Help foster a culture of quality, technical rigor, and strong engineering practices

🔹 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience with frontend technologies including:
– React
– TypeScript
– React-Query
• Experience with:
– Solana web3.js or ethers.js
• Demonstrated interest in community-driven/open-platform products
• English language proficiency
Nice-to-have: experience working on blockchain products
