Senior Backend Engineer (Trade/Blockchain), GRVT

GRVT is building a trading platform with a focus on performance, reliability, and continuous operation. The Senior Backend Engineer role sits within the Trade Engineering team and is responsible for designing, developing, and operating core backend components such as matching engines, order management systems, and real-time market and trade data services.

The position emphasizes low-latency and high-throughput system design in a mission-critical, 24/7 environment. The engineer will collaborate closely with other engineers, quantitative teams, and product managers, while contributing to code quality and engineering standards through reviews and mentorship.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core backend components including matching engines, order management, and market and trade data systems

• Optimize backend services for low latency, high throughput, and operational reliability

• Develop and maintain scalable, resilient systems suitable for continuous, mission-critical operation

• Work closely with engineers, quantitative teams, and product managers to deliver platform features

• Contribute to engineering quality through code reviews and mentorship

🔹 Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience developing high-performance, distributed backend systems

• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang), including its concurrency model and performance characteristics

• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design with proven problem-solving ability

• Demonstrated experience delivering robust, well-tested production code

• Effective communication and collaboration skills

Preferred (Nice-to-Haves):

• Experience with trading systems, financial exchanges, or high-frequency trading platforms

• Familiarity with low-latency optimization, performance tuning, and fault-tolerant system design

• Exposure to blockchain technologies such as Ethereum, Layer 2s, or Solidity

• Experience with modern infrastructure and deployment tools including Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (GCP or AWS)
