GoTymeX, the engineering, product, and design organization behind the GoTyme Group, is building a new digital asset and blockchain-powered business portfolio focused on expansion markets. This Engineering Manager role leads technology delivery across wallet infrastructure, payments, custody integrations, KYC systems, ledger management, and digital asset platforms.
Operating within a regulated fintech environment, the position combines engineering leadership, architecture ownership, vendor management, and team building responsibilities. The successful candidate will recruit the founding engineering team, establish engineering standards, and drive delivery across crypto, payments, and financial services infrastructure.
This opportunity is suited to leaders experienced in blockchain infrastructure roles, payments systems, AWS-based platforms, and distributed engineering organizations operating across multiple jurisdictions.
🔹 Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end engineering delivery across wallet systems, payments infrastructure, custody integrations, KYC, ledger platforms, account management systems, and customer-facing product layers.
• Recruit and onboard the founding engineering team and establish hiring standards, engineering culture, operational practices, and development processes.
• Define and implement an integration framework for infrastructure partners.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions and collaborate with architecture and product teams on platform strategy and infrastructure integration approaches.
• Lead discussions with vendors and infrastructure partners while maintaining architectural ownership.
• Establish AI-native engineering practices utilizing modern tooling, continuous delivery, feature-flagged releases, and production testing approaches.
• Partner with Product, Design, Compliance, Legal, GoTyme Bank, and TymeBank engineering teams to deliver regulated financial products across multiple jurisdictions.

🔹 Requirements
Must-have
• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 4+ years of leadership experience within a digital bank, payments company, crypto exchange, regulated fintech, or embedded finance platform.
• Experience delivering regulated financial products and on-chain products.
• Proven full-stack engineering experience across frontend and backend technologies.
• Ability to guide architectural decisions across the technology stack.
• Experience leading multi-vendor environments using API-first architectures.
• Experience managing roadmaps, service-level agreements, support processes, and commercial discussions.
• Demonstrated success building remote and hybrid engineering teams across multiple time zones.
• Experience operating within regulated fintech environments across multiple jurisdictions.
• Familiarity working alongside compliance, risk, and regulatory stakeholders including MiCA, CASP, VARA, MAS DPT, or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience utilizing AI tooling within software delivery environments.
• Startup or scale-up experience with a hands-on product development mindset.
Strong Plus
• Experience building and configuring distributed-ledger technologies.
• Experience with MPC, HSM, and signing infrastructure.
• Hands-on production experience with wallet infrastructure, payment infrastructure, blockchain technologies, core banking systems, ledger management, identity platforms, fraud systems, risk systems, AML tooling, travel rule solutions, card issuing, or card processing.
• Knowledge of Web3 architecture including wallets, account abstraction, MPC/HSM environments, signing infrastructure, and on-chain analytics.
• Deep AWS expertise including Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, and DynamoDB.
• Experience building data-first architectures within regulated environments.
• Experience as a founding engineer or early engineering leader for a new business line or product.
• Experience with Java, Python, Swift, Kotlin, Databricks, Datadog, AWS, LaunchDarkly, and related technologies.
