Blockchain Security Expert Intern – AI Track

This internship role focuses on building AI-driven capabilities for blockchain security auditing. The intern will work alongside CertiK’s blockchain security team to develop and integrate large language model (LLM)–based agents that analyze smart contracts and surface potential vulnerabilities.

The position emphasizes applied research, experimentation, and translation of academic work into practical security tools used in production environments. Responsibilities include improving threat detection and risk assessment workflows within existing audit platforms while staying current with advancements in LLMs, AI agent design, and cybersecurity.

The role is suited for candidates with strong machine learning foundations who are interested in applying AI techniques to real-world blockchain security challenges.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Work with the blockchain security team to design and implement LLM-based AI agents for security auditing tools
• Test and evaluate new AI approaches to improve vulnerability detection and risk analysis in blockchain systems
• Support the conversion of academic research on AI agents into scalable security audit solutions
• Track developments in LLMs, AI agent frameworks, and cybersecurity, and suggest relevant technical improvements

🔹 Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field with focus on machine learning, NLP, or cybersecurity
• Strong understanding of LLM architectures such as transformers, with hands-on experience training or fine-tuning models
• Proficiency in Python and experience using deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Basic knowledge of blockchain technology and smart contracts is beneficial
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English

• Target monthly compensation of USD 6,000–8,000 for US-based interns, depending on skills and experience
