How can I switch from a mobile app developer to a blockchain developer after 4 years in app dev?
I’m in my early 30s and have been working as a mobile app developer for the last 4 years (mostly with React Native and Swift). Lately, I’ve been really intrigued by blockchain technology and want to make a career switch to blockchain development. The thing is, I’m not sure where to start.
I’ve read a bit about smart contracts, decentralized apps (dApps), and programming languages like Solidity, but it all feels a bit overwhelming. Should I be focusing on certifications, contributing to open-source blockchain projects, or maybe building my own small projects to learn by doing?
I’d love to hear from anyone who’s made a similar switch or has experience in both mobile app and blockchain development. What worked for you, and what’s the best way to break into this field?
