Are most blockchain developer jobs actually remote and open to anyone worldwide in 2025?

I’m a frontend dev from India, shifting into Web3 with some Solidity and DeFi project experience.

I see lots of crypto remote roles online, but do companies really hire globally, or are there hidden location and timezone restrictions?

Also, do skills like Rust or certifications help with landing a remote blockchain job, or is real project work more important?

Would love to hear from anyone who’s landed a remote Web3 job recently.

Yes, most blockchain developer jobs in 2025 are genuinely remote and open to global applicants, including those from India. That said, some companies still want timezone overlap with their main team (often US/EU) or have legal restrictions, so always check the job details. Skills like Rust are a big plus, especially for certain chains, but real-world project experience—like building dApps or contributing to DeFi protocols—matters more than certifications alone.

If you can show what you’ve built, you’ll stand out. Plenty of devs from India have landed remote Web3 roles recently, especially by being active in the community and open source. Just keep an eye out for the occasional location clause, but overall, the remote blockchain job market is legit and accessible.
