WallStreetBets operates a large-scale financial platform focused on providing tools, data, and community-driven insights for retail traders. The UI/UX Designer will work within the Engineering team to design and evolve the user experience across the WallStreetBets mobile app and website.

This role is responsible for creating clear, engaging, and functional interfaces that present complex financial and market data in an accessible way. The position combines end-to-end product design, data visualization, and collaboration with engineers to ensure designs are practical and scalable. The designer will also contribute to building consistent design systems while supporting rapid iteration in a fully remote environment.

🔹 Responsibilities

Lead the full design lifecycle, including user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile
Design real-time financial data visualizations such as charts, option chains, and heatmaps
Conduct user research and usability testing, incorporating feedback into design iterations
Build and maintain a scalable design system to support consistency and efficient development
Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible and accurately implemented
Design gamified features that encourage user engagement and community participation

🔹 Requirements

Minimum 3 years of professional UI/UX design experience, preferably in fintech, trading platforms, or high-traffic consumer applications
Strong portfolio demonstrating typography, color, layout, data visualization, and mobile-first design skills
Expert-level proficiency with Figma
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and ability to justify design decisions
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
