The Software Engineer – Infrastructure & SRE role is part of the engineering team and focuses on building, operating, and improving the infrastructure that powers the Syndicate Appchains platform.

This position combines infrastructure engineering, site reliability principles, and DevSecOps practices. The role involves designing scalable systems, automating deployments, improving observability, supporting production reliability, and collaborating closely with application engineers to maintain secure and resilient distributed systems.

🔹 Responsibilities

Own and develop core infrastructure components supporting the Appchains platform
Design and operate scalable infrastructure across cloud environments and bare metal providers
Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows
Implement monitoring and observability systems for distributed blockchain infrastructure
Develop internal tooling to support engineering teams and infrastructure operations
Partner with software engineers to promote strong infrastructure and reliability practices
Apply Site Reliability Engineering principles to improve system stability and availability
Participate in on-call rotations to respond to and resolve production incidents
Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code tools
Support the integration of security best practices throughout the development lifecycle

🔹 Requirements

2+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or backend engineering roles
Experience working with distributed systems
Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Experience working with at least one major cloud platform
Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana or Datadog
Scripting experience using Bash or Python
Foundational understanding of blockchain technology concepts
Willingness to learn and work with new technologies, including Rust
Experience with DNS, firewalls, and core networking principles
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fully remote team, with strong written and verbal communication skills
