Stargate Foundation supports the development of Stargate, a liquidity infrastructure protocol that enables instant, guaranteed settlement of assets across a large number of blockchains. The Smart Contract Engineer will focus on building and maintaining secure, efficient, and scalable smart contracts that support Stargate’s cross-chain liquidity system.

This role involves developing Solidity-based contracts, improving protocol features aligned with DAO priorities, and ensuring reliability through testing and audits. The engineer will also work on cross-chain integrations and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deploy protocol upgrades while maintaining compatibility across multiple blockchain environments.

🔹 Responsibilities

Design, implement, and deploy Solidity smart contracts for Stargate’s core protocol and related systems
Contribute to protocol upgrades by implementing features aligned with the roadmap and DAO decisions
Perform testing and security reviews of smart contracts, including coordination with external auditors
Build and maintain cross-chain integrations to support multichain compatibility
Collaborate with internal engineers and technical partners to integrate and deploy upgrades

🔹 Requirements

Proficiency in Solidity and experience with EVM-compatible blockchains
At least 3 years of professional smart contract development experience with mainnet deployments
Strong understanding of DeFi concepts and blockchain architecture
In-depth knowledge of smart contract security risks and mitigation practices
Experience working effectively within distributed teams
Familiarity with Move is preferred
