DoubleZero is building a high-performance, permissionless global network designed to increase bandwidth and reduce latency for distributed systems. The Smart Contract Engineer will work on designing and implementing smart contracts and supporting software that form the core of the DoubleZero protocol.

This role focuses on developing secure, production-ready contracts primarily on Solana/SVM, with exposure to other blockchains as the protocol expands to multi-chain and multi-tenant environments. The engineer will also contribute to complementary off-chain systems, collaborate through code reviews and discussions, and ensure the reliability, security, and maintainability of the overall codebase

🔹 Responsibilities

Design and implement smart contracts on Solana/SVM and other blockchains as required
Identify and implement protocol improvements to support multi-tenancy and network growth
Build secure smart contract code by addressing known vulnerabilities and writing unit and integration tests
Participate in auditing, testing, and reviewing smart contract implementations
Develop software systems that integrate with and support smart contract components
Contribute to ongoing maintenance of the codebase through issue discussions and pull requests

🔹 Requirements

At least 2 years of experience developing smart contracts, with additional experience in large-scale software systems preferred
Strong proficiency in Rust
Experience with one or more of TypeScript, shell scripting, Solidity, Move, or Go
Prior experience working on teams building products on crypto protocols
Familiarity with scrum or sprint-based development workflows and meeting delivery timelines
Experience contributing to open-source software, including managing the impact of changes on shared repositories
