Senior Solutions Engineer — Blockchain Integrations

Risk Labs is the core development team supporting decentralized protocols including UMA and Across. UMA provides an optimistic oracle that records verifiable data on blockchains, while Across focuses on cross-chain interoperability using intent-based architecture. The Senior Solutions Engineer role works at the intersection of engineering, product, and partnerships to support integrations with the Across protocol.

Operating in a globally distributed remote environment, this role focuses on enabling developers and partners to integrate infrastructure, APIs, and protocol systems efficiently. Engineers in blockchain infrastructure roles often collaborate with engineering, product, and partner teams to troubleshoot integrations, improve developer workflows, and ensure reliable deployment across distributed blockchain environments.

Organizations scaling a web3 team often rely on solutions engineers to help partners integrate APIs, infrastructure, and decentralized protocol systems efficiently.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical partner for integrators adopting Across infrastructure
• Support architecture design and implementation decisions for partner integrations
• Debug issues across partner and protocol codebases during testing, deployment, and production environments
• Identify recurring technical blockers and eliminate root causes affecting integration workflows
• Convert bespoke partner solutions into reusable templates, playbooks, and integration patterns

• Design support workflows that reduce manual debugging and improve integration velocity
• Introduce automation where possible across integration and support processes
• Improve support infrastructure including ticketing systems, triage processes, and internal tooling
• Convert recurring questions or issues into documentation, tools, or self-serve integration resources

• Surface structured product feedback from integrators to product and engineering teams
• Identify expansion opportunities with active partners and growing integrations
• Help communicate technical value to decision-makers during technical discussions
• Ensure high-impact partners receive proactive technical support

• Improve developer documentation and integration workflows for Across infrastructure
• Publish example implementations and reference repositories for integrators
• Improve discoverability of integration resources for developer audiences
• Help ensure infrastructure and APIs remain intuitive and production-ready for developers

Teams building blockchain infrastructure roles often prioritize engineers comfortable debugging unfamiliar systems and working across engineering and product teams.

🔹 Requirements

• Strong technical background with hands-on experience working in production codebases
• Experience supporting or building integrations involving APIs, SDKs, protocols, or infrastructure
• Ability to debug unfamiliar systems even with limited documentation
• Experience improving systems and workflows rather than only executing predefined tasks
• Strong communication skills across technical and cross-functional teams
• High ownership and accountability for projects and outcomes

🔹 Strongly Preferred

• Experience working with blockchain systems, DeFi protocols, or developer-facing infrastructure
• Familiarity with EVM ecosystems or cross-chain architectures
• Experience building internal tooling or automation systems
• Background in solutions engineering, platform engineering, or technical partnership roles
