Offchain Labs, the team behind the Arbitrum scaling ecosystem, is hiring a Security Engineer focused on securing cloud and blockchain infrastructure. The role involves working across AWS-based environments, Kubernetes, multi-region access systems, VPN-based security, and secrets management tools such as Vault or KMS.

This position will support architecture analysis, threat modeling, penetration testing, and the implementation of automated security controls. The candidate will collaborate with engineering teams, strengthen DevOps-aligned security practices, and contribute hands-on expertise in infrastructure-level risk mitigation. This role suits someone with a strong background in cloud security or DevOps, who is comfortable owning technical decisions and improving system resilience through proactive engineering.

2️⃣ Responsibilities

Secure and maintain cloud infrastructure across environments
Conduct threat modeling, design reviews, and penetration testing
Manage access control across multi-region deployments
Implement and improve VPN-based infrastructure security
Work with secret-management systems (Vault / KMS)
Automate security measures & integrate them into CI/CD
Collaborate with developers to ensure secure deployment practices
Continuously monitor security risks and emerging threats

3️⃣ Requirements

Strong experience in cloud security or DevOps roles
Extensive experience with AWS; familiarity with Kubernetes & GCP
Knowledge of security testing & vulnerability assessment
Experience managing multi-region secure infrastructure
Hands-on experience with secrets management (Vault, KMS)
Ability to automate security controls and implement guardrails
Strong ownership mindset with proactive approach

Experience educating engineers on secure coding practices
Prior experience in blockchain or crypto-stack environments
