This Junior Blockchain Security Engineer role sits within web3 security roles and supports smart contract audits, protocol reviews, and decentralized infrastructure analysis. The position involves hands-on review of Solidity, Rust, and Golang code across EVM chains, Solana, Move-based systems, and blockchain nodes. You will assist in identifying vulnerabilities, contributing to internal security tooling, and researching attack vectors under guidance from senior engineers. This is a full-time remote position based in the United States.
This role operates across blockchain infrastructure roles where code review depth and protocol-level understanding are critical.
🔹 Responsibilities
• Review and audit smart contracts, blockchain protocols, and decentralized applications to identify and document security vulnerabilities
• Conduct guided security research, analyze emerging attack vectors, and produce actionable findings
• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of internal security tools and frameworks
• Support improvements to internal audit methodologies, processes, and service quality

🔹 Requirements
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Information Security
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with blockchain technologies, including smart contracts (EVM chains, Solana, Move) and blockchain protocols (nodes, SDKs, Cosmos)
• Experience in threat modeling, risk assessment, and security analysis
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Rust, Go, Solidity, or Python
• Strong interest in cryptocurrency, DeFi, and blockchain systems
Preferred Qualifications
• Academic or practical background in Mathematics, Cryptography, or Cybersecurity
• Experience conducting audits and collaborating with Web3 protocols
• Recognized achievements such as published CVEs or strong placements in attackathons, bug bounties, or audit contests
🔹 Compensation & Benefits
• Target annual salary (US-based role): $102,000 – $180,000 USD
