Republic AI is building infrastructure for a blockchain protocol integrated with a decentralized AI compute network. The DevOps Engineer role focuses on designing, operating, and securing the systems that support validator nodes, GPU-based compute nodes, and AI workloads.

This position owns CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, and performance optimization across cloud and bare-metal environments. The role works closely with protocol engineers, AI researchers, and security teams to ensure reliable infrastructure for distributed AI and blockchain operations.

Responsibilities include observability, container orchestration, GPU resource management, and coordinating network upgrades in line with decentralized governance decisions.

🔹 Responsibilities

Design and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for blockchain and AI infrastructure components
Automate deployment, operation, and monitoring of validator nodes, GPU compute nodes, and core services
Operate infrastructure across cloud platforms and bare-metal environments, including GPU-heavy systems
Develop tooling to help node operators run secure and performant nodes
Work with protocol, AI, and security teams to optimize infrastructure for AI workloads
Monitor availability, performance, and security using observability and alerting systems
Optimize container orchestration and GPU resource utilization
Implement infrastructure hardening against blockchain-specific attack vectors
Coordinate network upgrades and ensure alignment with decentralized governance decisions

🔹 Requirements

3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles
Hands-on experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Nomad, and Docker
Experience managing GPU-based compute infrastructure, including NVIDIA drivers and CUDA
Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Bash, Python, Terraform, or Ansible
Experience supporting high-availability production systems
Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or ELK
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and bare-metal provisioning
Understanding of blockchain networks and decentralized infrastructure
