    Veda

    FULL_TIMENA

    Job description

This role supports Veda’s Solidity engineering organization, contributing to the architecture, reliability, and security of smart contracts that power high-TVL DeFi vaults. The position involves designing new protocol features, maintaining existing vault infrastructure, and ensuring strong security practices through threat modeling, formal verification, and audit-by-design methodologies.

Engineers will work across upgrade patterns, cross-chain messaging, proxy systems, and account abstraction. The role also includes collaborating with auditors and the ecosystem while representing Veda in integrations and community engagements. The environment is fast-paced and suited for individuals who take ownership and are comfortable shaping critical on-chain infrastructure at scale.

    🔹 Responsibilities

    • Contribute to Solidity codebases including upgrade patterns, proxies, account abstraction, and cross-chain messaging.
    • Lead design reviews, threat modeling, fuzz testing, and formal verification workflows.
    • Maintain and upgrade existing DeFi vault infrastructure.
    • Deliver new protocol features end-to-end from design to deployment.
    • Manage external auditors, bug-bounty pipelines, and on-chain monitoring processes.
    • Represent the team in client integrations, conferences, and open-source initiatives.

    🔹 Requirements

    • 6+ years of software engineering experience.
    • 2–3+ years writing production Solidity (ERC-20/4626, custom libraries, upgrade patterns).
    • Proven experience maintaining smart contracts without critical incidents.
    • Knowledge of EVM internals, gas optimization, storage layout, and common exploit vectors.
    • Proficiency with Foundry and/or Hardhat.
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

    🔹 Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with multi-chain DeFi interactions and cross-chain messaging.
    • Professional Rust experience.
    • Experience with Move-based platforms (e.g., Aptos).
    • Background in finance, credit, risk, or derivatives.
    • Contributions to open-source research, EIPs, or governance.
    • Formal verification exposure.
    • Experience with audit cycles from leading firms.

    🔹 Compensation & Benefits

    • Medical, dental, and vision coverage (contractor coverage coordinated globally).
    • Flexible, untracked time off.
    • Fully remote, async work model across geographies.
    • Paid parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers.
    • Learning and development stipends for courses, conferences, and skill growth.
