Aptos Labs is a people-first blockchain project built on the foundations of the original Diem research, focused on enabling global access to safe and scalable decentralized assets. The Platform team provides the core tooling and infrastructure that support internal engineering teams and the wider Aptos ecosystem.

As a Platform Engineer, you will design and maintain systems that improve reliability, developer experience, and cloud automation across CI, release workflows, internal tooling, and core infrastructure.

The role combines backend engineering, cloud technologies, on-call operations, and cross-team collaboration to ensure the Aptos blockchain and its ecosystem services remain performant and resilient. Candidates should bring experience with backend development, strong communication skills, and familiarity with modern cloud and infrastructure tools.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Build and maintain internal platforms including CI, release tooling, cloud infrastructure, and related automation.
• Develop software in TypeScript, Python, or Rust to support engineering workflows and ecosystem tools.
• Review code, create documentation, and contribute to disaster recovery planning.
• Design and deploy systems that improve reliability, throughput, latency, availability, and security of Aptos services.
• Participate in on-call rotations and serve as an escalation point during incidents.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new features and ensure platform stability.

🔹 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, TypeScript, C++, PHP, or Rust.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Interest in developer experience and building seamless internal/external platforms.
• Experience with several cloud/infrastructure technologies such as Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to operate effectively under pressure and in high-stakes environments.
