Backend Golang Developer

Trust Wallet is a large-scale non-custodial wallet supporting more than 10 million digital assets and over 100 blockchains. As a Go Backend Engineer, you will develop backend systems that support a multi-chain user experience across desktop, mobile, and browser extension applications.

The role involves building microservice-driven systems, defining backend service deployment approaches, and collaborating with engineers and external developers. This position offers a non-traditional hiring process that begins with a quick interview loop, followed by a paid contract period with production-level tasks, with the possibility of transition to a full-time role based on mutual fit. The position is fully remote and available to candidates globally.

🔹 Responsibilities

• Design backend systems with a focus on how services interact internally and with external parties.
• Implement and iterate on backend features supporting multiple client platforms.
• Establish and refine infrastructure processes for service deployment and operation.
• Work with team members to support technical hiring and knowledge exchange.
• Communicate with users and external developers to gather and relay insights for product improvements.

🔹 Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, including strong Go expertise; 2+ years accepted for mid-level roles.
• Experience in microservice-oriented architecture development.
• Strong technical communication and collaborative working skills.
• Practical experience with major cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL and Key-Value database systems.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes-based containerization.
• Nice to have: active GitHub contributions, work on open-source projects, familiarity with iOS SDK performance optimization.
